After a bad line alert on NBC late night host Conan O’Brien “Tonight Show” last Friday.

“We had a lot of fun to be here in the last seven months, but like everything in life, is fun to get to the end of the decade, too,” joked comedian during his opening monologue. “As I leave for an exciting new career opportunities, I just want to make one thing clear to everyone listening out there, I will do nudity.”

Red-Headed host is still 45 million U.S. dollars to leave the late-night hosting gig Jay Leno on NBC so that he can return to prime time slot of 11:35, where his rating was sagging.

As for how history will remember the late-night showdown, O’Brien has at least one idea. “HBO when making movies about this whole fiasco, NBC late-night, I’d be played by Academy Award-winning actress Tilda Swinton,” he cracked.

New Leno’s “Tonight Show” will premiere on 1 March, followed by “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in 1235 O’Brien was free to sign a contract with another network since September. 1, NBC said.

Although his opening monologue was light, before wrapping show singing a song with guest Will Ferrell, O’Brien expressed his deep gratitude for their fans and took the High Road, NBC, thanks to all the years in the company.

“There is much speculation about what the press can not legally be said on NBC. To set the record straight, tonight I can say whatever I want. I think what this is, in my time at” Saturday Night Live, “” Late Night Show “, and my quick round here for the” Tonight Show, “I worked with NBC in more than 20 years. Yes, we have our differences and now that we’re going to our separate ways, but the company is my home for most of my adult life. I am very proud of the work we are together, and I want to thank NBC for making this possible.

“Walking away from the” Tonight Show “was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Making this decision is very hard,” O’Brien continued. “This is the best job in the world, I absolutely love, and I am the best staff and crew of the history of the media. However, despite this sense of loss, I really feel this should be a happy moment. Every comedian dreams of hosting” Tonight Show “and seven months alone. I did it my way, with people I love, I do not regret a second. I was lucky that someone you know best, and if our next concert event shown in 7-11 parking lot, find a way to make it fun.

“In the end, I have to say something to our fans. A massive outpouring of support and passion of many people was overwhelming. Demonstrations, signs, all the stupid, outrageous creativity on the Internet, and the fact that people travel long distances and camped all night in the pouring rain to be our audience, made happy and sad state of inspiration. For all the people watching, I can never thank you enough for your kindness to me and I will for the rest of my life. ”

O’Brien, though not until the end to win the battle in the night, he is still optimistic about his future, he said, and hopes that his fans do the same thing.

“All I ask one thing: do not be cynical. I hate cynicism – it is my least favorite quality, does not lead anywhere,” he concluded. “No one in life is exactly what they thought were coming. But if you really work hard and you are beautiful, amazing things.
